  i say it tramples on the free market!

  if a person gets botulism, e.coli or trichonosis, they'll just stop buying that brand!

  The Chicago Tylenol Murders were a series of poisoning deaths -- 7 of them -- resulting from drug tampering in the Chicago metropolitan area in 1982. The victims had all taken Tylenol-branded acetaminophen capsules that had been laced with potassium cyanide.

  Before those horrific and senseless crimes, one couldn't verify that you were first to open an OTC medicine, a jar of peanut butter, jelly, milk carton, etc. The tamper-evident safety-seals to bottles and other packaging we have today is a result thanks to FDA and other agencies. Prompt and honest action by Tylenol contributed to it's becoming number 1 in sales of analgesics in the U.S.

  The Tylenol murders have never been solved.

  Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread

  this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.

  latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

  the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

  As for me I think the practice of more recent district assemblies where they allocate x sheets (I seem to remember 2 sheets) to each woman as she enters the rest room -- has to be the gold standard. After all, if it was endorsed by the GB, and, by extension, the 2Jays (Jehovah and Jesus) -- what more can one ask?

  REALLY ????? In my time in those expenses were all covered by the local bros, apart from Stipends, which were a paltry few $$$, so is this huge figure a way of explaining away where some of the money has gone ?

  I've been away for so long that I'm just stabbing in the dark.
  I wonder if there isn't some annual report, the congregation to the branch, where the question -- "how much do you estimate that your congregation members privately contribute toward the welfare of other brothers, special pioneers, circuit overseers, etc." is posed.
  The branch could add that pie-in-the-sky amount to their own certifiable numbers and come up with $224 million.

  Somewhat related, my wife and I use one of these sprayer bottles (Walmart) for 91% alcohol that I buy and refill from bulk bottle.

  
  

  After each teeth brushing, I rinse and wipe the shank of the brush to remove most particulates, then spray the shank and bristles generously, after which I top the brush head with the plastic provided (Sonicare) cap.

  
  

  began this practice after listening to our dentist spiel (probably from the toothbrush industry) to dispose of our toothbrushes after 3 months of use because of bacteria buildup.

  3 months? Where's the science on that one?

  My email to JW Following Trolley Conversation

  a few weeks ago i had an really interesting conversation with three male jws who were loitering around a trolley at the west end of princes street in edinburgh.. i managed to completely avoid giving any hint about my jw past and focussed on why they thought the bible was a reliable moral guide.

  i used the subject of slavery to illustrate my concerns.. one of the three was in his early twenties, knew a lot about his own beliefs but nothing about the real life and it was difficult to get through his thought-bubble.

  the second one was in his 60s and not very bright.

  Look up any list of "first world countries" and one of the dominating characteristics is the rule of law.

  No kind of slavery would be entertained as an argument inside a modern courtroom.

  i've only recently started using this programme.

  it does exactly what i need, but one thing i don't like about it is this:.

  when i type out more than one page, it displays them on the screen as side by side - instead of sequentially below each other.. can anyone tell me how to change the way the documents are displayed?.

  I too use LibreOffice. In its default configuration, that thick black vertical line can also be slid (left mouse button) left or right. Slide Left enlarges the page (zooms in) and Right (zooms out).

  I have two dots one in the bathroom where I'll start a bunch of music like "Alexa Shuffle Tony Bennett". He'll sing his numbers until you announce keyword paws and won't resume until you use that key word.

  The following Saturday which is 7 days later she will remember that resume means you know who to play continue his music.

  I liked it so much that I bought Amazon Auto however I sent it back after three or four days because it's too flaky

  Were / Are the Governing Body "Rock Stars"

  in 1976 when i was a young lad of 6, fred franz came to glasgow and gave a talk in govan a suburb on the south side of the city (for those of you who dont know).

  our congregation hired a bus to ferry us all to the hall and it was standing room only.

  being only 6, i have only the vaguest of memories other than an old man shouting and bawling from the stage.

  The year was c1956 and I had not yet been dunked at age 16. Behind Freddy was my smiling dad. This was just before the public address on a Sunday afternoon where he usurped 1 hr 45 minutes of our precious time. Earlier that day he addressed the Portuguese bros for a whopping 2 hours.
